A result must show how it was reached
Scanly will treat product facts, regulatory rules and editorial judgments as separate layers. Every result must be reproducible from stored inputs and a named method version.

Food
- Show Nutri-Score and its nutrient inputs rather than relabeling it as proprietary evidence.
- Show NOVA processing classification separately.
- Attach additive and allergen information to its source and jurisdiction.
- Refuse a confident overall result when required inputs are missing.
Cosmetics
Cosmetic flags must account for product type and exposure route. A restriction that depends on concentration remains unresolved when the formulation does not disclose concentration. No-flag-found is not the same as risk-free.
Change control
Each method version will record its sources, reviewer and effective date. Material changes will be published, and affected products will be recomputed without rewriting their prior result history.
Questions, answered
Does Scanly reproduce the Yuka score?
No. Scanly is independent and will publish its own method rather than represent another company's score as its own.
Who reviews the method?
Qualified nutrition and toxicology review is a launch requirement. Until then, cosmetics remain research-stage and no production safety score will be offered.
